Cotton Candy Melodies: Gitchi Gitchi Goo Means That I Love You

Hey everyone! It’s Angel.

Since Valentine’s Day, the month of love, has just passed, what other love song is more romantic than “Gitchi Gitchi Goo” by Phineas and Ferb? Nothing. There are none! That’s why I decided to do a cover of this song.

For those of you who don’t know this series, Phineas and Ferb is a cartoon from Disney Channel. It’s about two step-brothers who try to make summer interesting by building roller coasters, beaches, time travelling machines, and more. The song “Gitchi Gitchi Goo” was from the show’s Valentine’s Day special, and it always pops into my head at random times.

During my second recording for this song, Jon and I realized that we didn’t have to add more harmonies. Instead, we added a shaker during the second half and had two other people record claps with us. Jon also sang a little part during the song, so try to find it when you listen to it!

Making a cover was not as easy as I expected it to be, as I mentioned in my previous post. The harmonies were a little tricky to figure out, but I persevered and conquered! Yaaaaaas.

Check out my cover of this fun song above!
