Looseleaved: Reading #4 (Alivia)

The beginning of tea time #4

Tea leaves, charted, tea time #4.

Tea leaves, charted, tea time #4.

As I continue with this column, I am realizing more and more how much no one wants to participate in tea time. Maybe that’s just because I’m somewhat up-in-your-face with my camera, but I’m thinking it’s because most people don’t like tea. What happened to people? What happened to tea? Why is coffee more popular than tea all of a sudden? Coffee is like the popular jock who dethroned tea, and I am personally not having it. Tea is the underdog! Tea is totally the underdog. I actually like coffee, or I’m beginning to; I mostly only drink flavored lattes and frappucinos.

Today, this Looseleaved fortune goes to Alivia (a.k.a. the talented person behind The Wave‘s Rags with Tags column), whose hand appears in the last photograph of this post with the pink purse.

The Shapes:
Snake: Someone who does not deserve your trust
Bull’s Head: Strength and power
Sea Horse: Peace and good luck
Crane: Heavy burdens and anxiety
Triangle: A fortunate meeting, good luck; sometimes an unexpected legacy
Elephant: Power, travel, promotion, happiness and stability and love in a friendship
Face: (too powerful to decipher)
Hawk: Circumstances in which people are working against you

The Divination:
I must be honest, dear drinker; this reading has definitely thrown me from my horse of moonbeams and starfire. Merely looking at the guide, it is clear how mixed your future is, and how careful you must be. Of course, as it is for your placement around the sun, this is a difficult time for you, full of transitions and new scenarios and happiness and, unfortunately, unhappiness. There are different forces of reckoning upon you, as it currently stands. Those who love you and support you are with you, and their strength and compassion and love will burrow itself in you, giving you the strength, compassion, and love that you will need during this time in your life. However, the Others (there are always Others) who don’t agree with your life or perhaps wish that you’d made different choices, will not do so much. You, dear drinker, must rise above them, for they are irrelevant. The forces beyond that, however, are not within your control, for they are not of this world, or any world, or anything. These are your obstacles. You must reconcile them, with the power of the bull, the peacefulness of the seahorse, the fortunate meetings of the triangle, and the salute of your personal tea divinator.
