Sidestreet Runway: Pretty in Plaid

Kylie Choi

Welcome to the last Sidestreet Runway post of the summer. The trends this post will be focusing on are pattern plaid, colored denim, and “dad shoes”. Plaid has been popular lately in all types of clothes, from crop tops to wide legged pants. I love this skirt and top set because I can mix and match it with other things in my closet like blue jeans or a white top. A type of shoe that has been trending recently are dad shoes. An example of a “dad shoe” are the Fila Disruptor II Premiums, which are basically just chunky, bulky, white shoes with a thick sole. This outfit is cute, easy to put together, and great for a warm summer day or for going out to lunch. These photos were taken in front of random houses on Noriega Street in the Sunset.
