A Pause for Sanity: Friends

Andrea Robinowitz

There was a time in my life when I was unhappy with who I was, lost in a sea of endless decisions and directions. I yearned for change but had no idea where to start. Luckily, my friends swooped in like knights in shining armor, guiding me to being the person I am today. In the past year my style, taste in music, and outlook on life have been greatly influenced by my friends. I am eternally grateful for their encouragement to pursue things I never would have before, including sharing my photography on a public level. I would truly be lost without them, and yet have realized how often friends take each other for granted. How frequently do you tell your friends how much they really mean to you? Looking back through these pictures, hundreds of memories flooded me with a mixture of joy and nostalgia. I realized how crucial it is to remind the people close to you how important they are. Taking a quick pause to appreciate those around you is easy and a positive interaction for all parties involved. Next time I see my friends, I’ll remember to say thank you. Thank you for dealing with me and my endless anxieties, for the unique perspectives you bring to my life, for our countless nights of laughter, and the many more to come.
