In Her View: Let’s Talk About Love!

Angelene Obedoza

Have you ever looked at a random stranger and wondered what their life was like? Their dreams, their failures, and their biggest regrets. If you think about it, there is so much more to a person besides the surface-level observations, like the way they dress or walk. Their temperament, values, and beliefs add so much more depth to one’s understanding of another human being. Having 7.6 billion people in the world means 7.6 billion stories of hope, strength, courage, determination, and love.

In this column, I plan to do what I have been wanting to do my whole life: say hello to a stranger and host a mini interview about their life, or, more specifically, their experiences with different kinds of love, and how it has impacted them. I will also be adding what I learned or what I took away from the conversation I had.

I’ve always loved hearing stories from other people, and I think that it is an effective way for not only me but also for people to learn and draw inspiration from others. Most importantly, love has been a constant force on my life, as I grew up with many different forms of love being given to me, so seeing how my experiences compare to someone else’s is something I’m excited to see. Honestly, love is such a great thing, and the way it manifests itself in different people and different situations is just something I’ve always been fascinated by. Through meaningful stories told from the heart and my own personal anecdotes scattered along the way, I hope to put a smile on your face and challenge your perspective on the power of love.
