FIT: Heavenly Halloween
Sophia Puliatti
This Halloween my friends and I spent a day in our favorite parts of the city. We started in the Castro at Orphan Andy’s, where we split pancakes and burgers. The pancakes were $8 and huge while the burger was $11 and delicious. After another great meal we headed off to the Sunset to get sparklers and Tpumps (an iced tea boba drink). On 23rd and Irving there is a store called Irving Houseware and Gift where you can get a some small sparklers for $2, and a couple of blocks away you can get Tpumps for around $4—we went to both.
After we got our nifties, we headed back to my house to listen to music and jump on my trampoline. We stayed at my house until dark, when we were joined by more friends so we could go get free candy. We all left around 7 pm and were back by 8:30 with a bag full of candy. Most of my friends hadn’t planned on trick-or-treating but since I’m getting too old, I thought one more time would be fun. We ended up with lots of candy. We spent the rest of the night eating candy and potstickers, talking about music and philosophy, and dancing to throwback songs like “Don’t Trust Me” by 3OH!3 and “Good Girls Go Bad” by Cobra Starship. All in all, it was a great Halloween packed with adventure and joy.
