Find Your Voice: Slow Red Noon

Hannah Liu

Hey guys! Guess what? I’m a graduate now! Since I’m finally free, here (finally) is a songwriting exercise in which I write a very low-quality song in only ten minutes!! Wow, so much talent. The song is called “Slow Red Noon” and the lyrics are below—hope you enjoy! Catch you on the flipside (underneath a pile of student debt)! Find Your Voice is taking a few weeks off, but it’ll be back for the summer.

“Slow Red Noon” Lyrics:
pack your bags and sail with me
along a rolling noontide sea
close your eyes remember these
golden glowing memories

so go with me
so slowly
i’ll hold you close
at the sights we see

and who can say
this moment will last
but nothing stays
unless we ask

i’ll hum along to the beat of your heart
and hear it when we’re far apart
the red in your eyes hold me so tight
stay with me though the sun fades to night

so go with me
so slowly
i’ll hold you close
at the sights we see

who can say
this moment will last
but nothing stays
unless we ask
