I tend to upscale my projects as I work on them, getting bigger and bigger than I ever expected. For the first time, I’ve had to downsize in order to focus on quality rather than quantity. Originally, I was going to make a full diorama with a full band of dolls, but when I realized how much work one was, I dedicated myself to completing one to the best of my ability.
Why didn’t anyone tell me that it’s probably not a great idea to do a project on a deadline centered around several mediums you’ve never worked with before? I’ve sewn a few things before, but I’ve never used paper clay, and I’ve certainly never made yarn wefts. But when has that ever stopped me?
