The Story
To the Naked Eye is more than just a short film. I wanted to give a sneak peek into the lives of many teenagers who live like this. I want people to watch this and sit with the discomfort we all feel.
The End
As the cycle comes to an end, I see the hard work we’ve all put in and the fruit that it bears. From picking actresses to cutting and re-editing more times than I remember, the final piece has come together: “To The Naked Eye.” This whole process has been like peeling a pomegranate, messy and seeping into everything. Lucky for me, pomegranates are my favorite fruit. And just like the fruit, this project was all the more worth it.

This whole project would not have been possible without the help of Jon, Caley, and the Sunset Media cohort for spring of ’25. They supported me throughout and provided me with amazing resources and insight! I would also like to thank my actresses, Olivia Brody and Emily Wolohan. They helped bring my vision to life, and I couldn’t have asked for more perfect people to play these roles. Next, I would like to thank my friends and friends and family for the unending support and understanding. From late-night editing seshes to lunchtime shoots, they were supportive of it all. Finally, I want to give credit to myself. This project has been something I’ve envisioned for a long time and to see it completed in real time is astonishing. I never thought it would turn out as great as it did.
